Manifesto

How we
work.

This page is for the people who want to know what it is like to work with us before they send the first email. It is opinion, not evidence. The evidence is on the research page.

01

Speed is a moral choice

Slow is not the same as careful. Slow is often fear in a blazer. We choose speed with standards.

02

Useful beats impressive

A demo that wows and never ships is a magic trick. We build things people use on a Tuesday at 10:17.

03

Quality is kindness

To future you, to your team, to your customers. Clean architecture is not aesthetics, it is less suffering later.

04

AI is a power tool, not a god

Treat it like a chainsaw. Brilliant when handled well, a disaster when waved around for attention.

05

Humour is a feature

It lowers friction and signals confidence. In the tone, never in the reliability.

Practice

Boring reliability
on purpose.

Small releases, real feedback, fast iteration. No hero projects, no big bang, no roadmap worship. Logging, tests, monitoring, versioning, rollbacks. The unglamorous half is the half that decides whether software survives a Monday.

We measure adoption and watch where people drop off. We do not argue with reality, we instrument it.

The rules

  1. 01 Ship beats talk
  2. 02 Humour in tone, not in reliability
  3. 03 No hype without proof
  4. 04 If it is not maintainable, it is not done
  5. 05 Automation should feel like relief
  6. 06 Every feature earns its keep
  7. 07 Be clever, be kind, be fast
